Stan Goff is a former U.S. Army Special Forces veteran, writer, and activist known for his anti-war and anti-imperialist views. He served in the military for 26 years before retiring in 1996 with the rank of Master Sergeant.
After leaving the military, Goff became a vocal critic of U.S. foreign policy and militarism. He has written several books on military and political issues, including "Hideous Dream: A Soldier's Memoir of the U.S. Invasion of Haiti" and "Full Spectrum Disorder: The Military in the New American Century".
Goff is also a co-founder of the advocacy group Bring Them Home Now, which calls for the withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq and Afghanistan. He has been a prominent figure in the anti-war movement and has spoken at numerous rallies and events advocating for peace and social justice.
